When designing a kitchen, many people still prefer stainless steel sinks. They are rust-resistant over time, aesthetically pleasing, and create a comfortable atmosphere. However, the market offers a wide variety of stainless steel sinks, making selection a challenge. Today, we'll introduce three tips for buying a stainless steel sink.
1. The most common and high-quality sinks on the market are made of 304 stainless steel, approximately 1mm thick. This is a standard measurement. You can also gently press your finger on the surface of the sink to see if it leaves a small dent. If it dents easily, the material is too thin and of poor quality, conversely, if it's difficult to leave a dent, the material is thicker and of better quality.
2. The sink's water fittings need careful inspection, as they significantly impact later use. Check if the fittings can be easily removed and assess their weight.
3. Next, examine the surface of the sink to assess its wear resistance. The sink we choose must be wear-resistant and not easily scratched during daily use. This will ensure a longer lifespan for the stainless steel sink and make cleaning easier.
